Plushusene in Ballerup are situated by Sømosen in a green area on the border between Ballerup and Herlev. Here, you’ll live close to nature, city life and the many amenities of everyday life – whilst also enjoying good transport links to Copenhagen.
The area is situated close to the DTU Campus and has been developed with a focus on creating links between homes, nature and the academic environment. Paths and green spaces tie the neighbourhood together and provide excellent opportunities for getting around on foot and by bike.

Nature right on your doorstep
Sømosen is our nearest neighbour and an ideal place for walking, running and cycling. A brisk walk around the marsh takes about 20 minutes, and the area’s many paths make it easy to incorporate nature into everyday life.
Not far from Plushusene lie the Egebjergene, which form part of the Hareskovene. Here you’ll find woodland, lakes and marshes, as well as a recreation area featuring, amongst other things, campfire sites and a signposted fitness trail. In Ballerup, you’ll also find the village of Pederstrup and Grantoftegaard, with animals, nature and activities for both children and adults.
Everything you need for everyday life
From Plushusene, it is a short distance to supermarkets and shopping centres such as Lautrup Centret, Ballerup Centret, Skovlunde Centret and BIG Shopping in Herlev.
In the local area, you’ll also find nurseries, schools and further education institutions. Ballerup also offers a wide range of leisure and cultural activities, including a library, a cinema, a theatre, music and a vibrant community life.
If you’re into sport and exercise, there are plenty of options on offer, including a swimming pool, football, athletics, tennis, golf and the Ballerup Super Arena.
Easy travel to and from Ballerup
It’s easy to get around by bike, public transport or car. There are bus services within walking distance, and Ballerup, Herlev, Skovlunde and Malmparken stations are all within a short distance.
From Ballerup and Herlev stations, you can reach Copenhagen Central Station in about half an hour, and the area’s many cycle paths offer excellent opportunities for cycling to work and running everyday errands. By car, there is also quick access to the main roads around Ballerup.
