The homes are designed to make everyday life easy and comfortable. The materials have been chosen with a focus on quality, durability and low maintenance requirements. The colours and materials have a calm, understated look whilst being robust enough to withstand everyday life. As part of the overall solution, we also source green energy for the homes.
A community you choose to be part of
Enjoy an active everyday life where you choose what you want to take part in. The main gathering place is the Common House, offering plenty of opportunities for both planned activities and spontaneous get-togethers – from communal dinners, group exercise and knitting clubs to ball games, parent-and-baby meetups and much more.
The Community Coordinator organises activities, supports resident initiatives and works together with residents to help shape the community.
Living across generations
The community-based rental housing is designed for people across generations, because it brings joy and improve quality of life. We cater primarily for families with children and active adults aged 55 and over, but others are also welcome, as long as they have a desire for community and participation.
The co-living communities to choose from
When choosing the location of our rental housing, we focus on being close to public transport, schools and childcare facilities, shops and nature, so that you have time for what really matters in everyday life. All Plushusene developments are certified as sustainable.

What is a co-living community?
Some people think that our housing is similar to a commune. The difference is that in Plushusene, you live in your own home, which has everything you’d normally find in a rented flat, whilst also sharing common facilities. Read more about the concept
Community coordinator as the day-to-day point of contact
Living in Plushusene gives you plenty of opportunities to build new social connections. You decide for yourself when and in what activities you take part. The community coordinator helps to foster a sense of community.
Common facilities
The Common House is the main hub where relationships are forged and where a sense of community becomes part of everyday life. It features, amongst other things, a gym and guest rooms, so you might be able to choose a home with fewer square metres.

Your own home – with the community right on your doorstep
At Plushusene, you have your own home and privacy – and the Common House and the community right on your doorstep whenever you fancy joining in. It’s entirely up to you how much you want to get involved, but we do expect you to want to get to know your neighbours.
We offer modern terraced houses and flats in a range of sizes and with different floor plans. The types and sizes of accommodation vary from one housing community to another, and you can see which properties are available on the page for each individual location.
All Plushusene properties are rental properties.
How to become a resident
How to become a resident at Plushusene
We do not operate a ‘first come, first served’ waiting list, but we strive to create a mix of residents that will ensure a well-functioning community – now and in the long term.
Step 01
First step
Find your favourite shared accommodation and come along to an open day, or join our waiting list so we can get in touch with you.
Step 02
Apply for accommodation
If Plushusene feels like the right choice for you following your visit to the open house, you’ll have the opportunity to submit a letter of application.
Step 03
Housing offers
If there is a match, you will be given a tenancy agreement, which must be signed within 7 days.
Step 04
Payment
The rent paid in advance and the deposit must be paid no later than 7 days after you have signed the tenancy agreement.

With 1,250 homes and more than 2,700 residents across the country, Plushusene is Denmark’s largest co-living concept.
Every year, we carry out a resident satisfaction survey, which provides us with valuable insights into how life in Plushusene is experienced. Together with data from the communities’ Plushusene app, it paints a picture of everyday life in our residential communities – and of the activities, interactions and relationships that develop across generations.
