Viby Sj. is part of Roskilde Municipality and has grown together with Dåstrup and Gl. Viby. Within walking distance of the neighbourhood are schools, nurseries, shops, a cultural centre and a vibrant community life – everything you need for everyday life. The many green spaces also offer plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature right on your doorstep.

Close to the city – close to nature
The Plushusene homes are situated in the eastern part of Viby, Zealand, in green and peaceful surroundings with tall trees, small lakes and nature reserves nearby. A nature trail with rainwater swales runs through the neighbourhood, and nearby you’ll find meadows, footpaths and woodland that are perfect for walking, running and cycling.
At the same time, everything you need for day-to-day life is right on your doorstep. Viby Sjælland has a good selection of supermarkets, a chemist’s, a medical centre and other shops and services. There are several childcare centres in the town, and Børnehuset Solstrålen is just 450 metres from Plushusene. Viby School’s primary section (Years 0–5) is just a few minutes’ walk away, whilst the secondary section (Years 6–9) can be reached in around 7 minutes by bike. The town also has an independent school.
Good transport links to the rest of Zealand
Viby Sj. Station is just a few minutes’ walk from Plushusene, with direct trains to destinations including Roskilde, Ringsted and Copenhagen. The journey takes approx. 7 minutes to Roskilde, 15 minutes to Ringsted and 35 minutes to Copenhagen. The bus stops on Ørstedvej by Plushusene, and with the motorway network nearby, it is also easy to get around by car.
An active local community
Viby, Zealand, has a vibrant cultural, sporting and community life. The Plushusene are situated overlooking Viby Sports Centre, which features, amongst other things, indoor halls and outdoor facilities for football, tennis, padel, beach volleyball, petanque and outdoor fitness. In the town centre is KulturCosmos, which houses a library, a citizens’ service centre, and hosts concerts, talks, workshops and creative activities.
This makes for a daily life where nature, shopping, school, leisure activities and transport are all within easy reach.
