Køge Nord Station is situated approximately 900 metres from Plushusene. From here, the train takes around 18 minutes to Copenhagen and 6 minutes to Køge Station. If you’re travelling by car, there is easy access to the Køge Bugt Motorway.
Schools and childcare facilities are located in the local area and can be reached via the area’s network of footpaths. There are also excellent opportunities for sport and leisure activities, including at Køge Nord Sport Centre, which offers sports halls and activities for both children and adults.
Woods, beaches and things to do nearby
The area around Køge Nord features woodland, beaches and open countryside. A cycle ride of around 9 minutes will take you to Ølsemagle Rev – a recreational wildlife reserve with a rich variety of birdlife and a beach with a bathing jetty.
There are good networks of footpaths along Køge Bay, and the area also features listed dykes, burial mounds and other traces of cultural history. Køge Marina is also an ideal destination for a day out, with restaurants, an ice-cream parlour and shops.
City life and shopping in Køge
In Køge, you’ll find a vibrant urban environment with restaurants, cafés, bakeries, specialist shops, supermarkets, a cinema and museums. The town centre combines old, well-preserved houses with more recent architecture, providing the setting for markets, cultural life and events all year round.
For everyday shopping, there are options in Ølsemagle and Lille Skensved, amongst other places, whilst Køge offers a wider selection of shops, places to eat and things to do.
